Franklin County is pleased to announce the promotion of Pat Toth into the role of Director of Planning & Building. In this role, Pat will oversee the daily operations in the Planning & Building Department.
Pat has been with the County since December 2018 and previously served as the Building Official. Prior to joining Franklin County, Pat worked as a Building Inspector for the City of Hays.
Pat’s knowledge of building codes combined with his energetic work ethic make him an excellent fit for this position as he works to balance the desires of citizens with the goals of development in the County.
“While serving as the Building Official, Pat has proven that he has great people skills, a great attitude and a pragmatic, common sense approach,” said County Administrator Derek Brown. “Each of these attributes will serve him incredibly well in his new position and I am excited to see him grow in his new role.”
Pat has been a member of the Army Reserves since 2004. He served as a Medical Logician for ten years and has served as a combat medic for the last nine years.
The Director of Planning and Building plays a key leadership role at Franklin County and we’re thrilled to have Pat at the helm, who understands the needs and challenges unique to our County.
