  1. CALL TO ORDER and PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

  2. ROLL CALL

  3. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action at this time.  Items introduced under “PUBLIC COMMENT” may become agenda items at a later date.

  4. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.

    1. Approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of March 29, 2006.

     

  5. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

     

    1. That Special Use Permit application #0602-601 for the operation of a Special Events and Bed & Breakfast facility including walking/riding trails in an A-1, Agricultural Zoning District located on the East and West sides of Ohio Road between Thomas Road and Stafford Road.
       

    2. That the Final Plat for Wiseman Estates Subdivision, application #0602-600, located at the intersection of Nevada Terrace and Marshall Road, on the East side of Nevada Terrace and on the North side of Marshall Road, be approved.
       

    3. That rezoning application #0602-592 to rezone approximately 5 acres from an A-1, Agricultural, to an R-3, Residential Estate District located on the North side of Butler Road and East of Highway 59, be approved.
       

    4. That rezoning application #0602-593 to rezone approximately 24.7 acres from an R-3A, Single Family Residential Three Acre, and an A-1, Agricultural, to an A-2, Transitional Agricultural District located on the East side of Alabama Road between Riley Road and Reno Road, be approved.
       

    5. That rezoning application #0602-599 to rezone approximately 10 acres from an A-1, Agricultural, to an R-E, Residential Estate District located on the South side of Stafford Road between Delaware Road and Florida Road, be approved.
       

    6. That rezoning application #0602-603 to rezone approximately 5.73 acres from an A-1, Agricultural, to an R-E, Residential Estate District located on the East side of Georgia Road between Labette Road and Kingman Road, be approved.
       

    7. Consider appointing a Committee composed of a County Commissioner, County Administrator, and the Public Works Administrator to perform a Qualification Based Selection process for Engineering Services for Missouri Road Project and 13 Mile Project.
       

    8. Consider authorizing and directing the Chairman and County Clerk to execute the Official Transcript Certificate for Transportation Revolving Loan Fund Agreement.
       

    9. Consider requesting the Kansas Department of Transportation place a 2" Overlay on U.S. 59 and make prudent man repairs to the bridges between the North County Line and the Ottawa City limits.
       

    10. Consider approval of a request from Ottawa Main Street Association and Ottawa Suzuki Strings, Inc. to use the Courthouse lawn Friday, June 23, 2006 from 10:30am to 1:30pm for an outdoor concert.
