  3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

  4. INVOCATION: Led by Reverend Joel Fredrikson of First Baptist Church in Ottawa.

  5. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  6. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of August 13th & 15th, 2007.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  7. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Receive a short presentation from a representative of the National Weather Service on County's NWS compliance.

    2. Consider the approval of a Resolution designating banks that will serve as depositories for funds.

    3. Consider the approval of EMS write-offs for the month of July in the amount of $13,550.30.

    4. Consider the approval of a request to return a portion of Nebraska Road to full maintenance.

    5. Consider the approval of a Service and Repurchase Agreement and Amendment finalizing the purchase of a 140H Motor Grader.

    6. Consider the approval of an agreement with Cook, Flatt & Strobel Engineers, P.A. for the inspection of 244 bridges in Franklin County.

    7. Consider the approval of a request to award tire bids to various businesses.

    8. Consider the approval of a request to award various culvert bids to Welborn Sales.

    9. Consider the approval of payment request #20 for the Elizabeth Layton Center CDBG Grant Project.

    10. Consider the approval of the 2008 County Operating Budget.
