  1. CALL TO ORDER

  3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

  4. INVOCATION: Led by Chaplain Matthew Benorden with Hospice Care of Kansas.

  5. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  6. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of August 22, 2007.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  7. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of a Grant of Easement for Lot Split #0708-782.

    2. Consider the approval of the Final Plat for Maple Lane Subdivision, Phase 1, Application #0602-602, located on the West side of Eisenhower Road between Woodson Road and Thomas Road.

    3. Consider setting a Public Hearing for 9:00 a.m. on September 12, 2007 to consider opening a portion of Delaware Road north of Labette Road.

    4. Consider the approval of Missouri Road right-of-way purchase from Ray W. & Orpha F. Potter in the amount of $1,250.

    5. Consider the approval of a request to include properties into the Neighborhood Revitalization Program.

    6. Consider the approval of the suggested Franklin County Holidays for the 2008 calendar year.

    7. Consider the approval of a request to continue contributing $8.00 per month to employee's wellness memberships in 2008.

    8. Recognize Barbara Conus, who is retiring as Director of the Health Department after 15 years of dedicated service to Franklin County.
