  1. CALL TO ORDER

  3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

  4. INVOCATION:  Led by Reverend Leonard Cheasbro with the New Life in Christ Church.

  5. CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

    1. Receive an update from State of  Kansas Representative Bill Otto.

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of October 15 and 17, 2007.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Welcome the Ottawa High School Leadership Class.

    2. 9:00 - Public Hearing to consider returning an additional 800' of the 1700 block of Pawnee Road from minimum maintenance to full maintenance.

    3. Consider the approval of a resolution upgrading an additional 800' of the 1700 block of Pawnee Road from minimum maintenance to full maintenance.

    4. Receive an update from the County Attorney on the non-renewal of the Domestic Violence Grant.

    5. Receive a quarterly report from Ethel Wallace, Director of Juvenile Detention.

    6. Consider the approval of EMS write-offs for the month of September in the amount of $24,498.37.

    7. Consider the approval of a resolution authorizing Franklin County to issue its Educational Facilities Refunding Revenue Bonds for Ottawa University.

    8. Consider the approval of a request to accept additional funds from the Kansas Department of Health & Environment to provide additional Maternal & Child Health Services.

    9. Consider a nomination for the KCAMP Board of Trustees and certified voting and alternate voting delegates for KCAMP.
