    1. Receive an update from State of Kansas Senator Derek Schmidt.

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of December 12th.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of an amendment to the Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response contract.

    2. Consider discussing the Tauy Creek Bridge Report.

    3. Consider the approval of a request to set a Public Hearing for 9:00 a.m. on January 2, 2008 to consider altering the 900 block of Georgia Road.

    4. Consider the approval of a request to purchase McAfee virus protection licenses for 2008.

    5. Consider the approval of an invoice from the Kansas Gas Service for work completed for the Courthouse Restoration Project.

    6. Consider the approval of the Annex Lease Agreement, 1418 S. Main, Suite 2, between Franklin County, Kansas and the Franklin County Extension to become effective March 1, 2008, to expire February 28, 2013.

    7. Consider the approval of payment request #24 for the Elizabeth Layton Center CDBG Grant Project.
