  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of January 23 and 28, 2008.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider receiving and discussing the five year update of the Lake Region Solid Waste Management Plan.

    2. Consider the approval of a Resolution adopting the Lake Region Solid Waste Management Plan.

    3. Consider the approval of a request from Mr. John Wise with the Over the Road Gang to use the Courthouse lawn during their annual Cruise Night on September 20, 2008.

    4. Consider the approval of a request from Mr. John Wise with the Over the Road Gang to waive dump fees for the group during their annual car show week, September 19-21, 2008.

    5. Consider the approval of a request Sheriff Craig Davis to purchase a new copier/printer and a supply agreement for the Sheriff's Office.

    6. Consider the approval of the Annex Lease Agreement, 1418 S. Main, Suite 4, between Franklin County, Kansas and Town & Country Realty to become effective March 1, 2008, to expire February 28, 2011.

    7. Consider the approval of a request to declare extra chairs items of surplus.
