  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of February 20, 2008.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider receiving an update and annual report from Ms. Elizabeth Maxwell with the East Central Kansas Area Agency Aging.

    2. Consider the approval of a grant application for the Accreditation Project for Franklin County and the East Central Kansas Public Health Coalition.

    3. Consider the approval of a request to set a suggested date of April 18-19 for the annual Franklin County Spring Clean-up.

    4. Consider the approval of a request to solicit bids for herbicides for 2008 Noxious Weed Control in Franklin County.

    5. Consider the approval of the annual Noxious Weed report.

    6. Consider the approval of a request to award bids for signs and signage materials.

    7. Consider the approval of a request to hold a Public Hearing on March 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the upgrading of Oregon Road one-half mile south from Cloud Road.

    8. Consider receiving an update on the County's Electronic Monitoring Program/Provider from Mr. Keith Clark, Director of Community Corrections.

    9. Consider the approval of the CY2008 Supplemental Graduated Sanctions Award for the Juvenile Justice Authority (JJA) in the amount of $7,182.

    10. Consider the approval of a bid from Mid Continental Restoration Company to make repairs to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
