  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of March 5, 2008.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Interview the candidates for the vacant position on the Franklin County CHIP Committee and consider the appointment of the vacant position.

    2. Consider the approval of an agreement between Franklin County the Elizabeth Layton Center to provide mental health services for 2008.

    3. 9:00 - Public Hearing to consider the upgrade of Oregon Road, one-half mile South from Cloud Road.

    4. Consider the approval of a request from the Public Works Department to declare a 1982 GMC 3500 as surplus property and allow the sale of said property.

    5. Consider the approval of a request to hold a Public Hearing on March 26, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. to discuss the vacation of the Nebraska Road right-of-way from the South right-of-way line of Sand Creek Road to the North right-of-way line of the new U.S. 59 Highway.

    6. Consider a motion to reconsider the K-68 Corridor Study.

    7. Consider the approval of the JJA FY2009 State Block Grant Application for Prevention programming, Intervention programming and Graduated Sanctions programming.

    8. Consider the options for increased insurance coverage for uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

    9. Consider discussing insurance coverage options for Historical Properties.

    10. Consider the approval of a request to enter into Executive Session to discuss matters of non-elect personnel.
