   1. Recognize and welcome Youth and Government.

   2. Recognize and welcome local government students.

6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

   1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of April 4 and 7, 2008.

   2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

   1. 9:00 - Public Hearing to discuss the completion of the Elizabeth Layton Center project on Eisenhower Road.

   5. Consider the approval of the Plans and Specifications and the solicitation of bids for Project 2007-1, a 100' Reinforced Concrete Haunched Bridge and grading on Missouri Road.

   6. Consider the approval of a KDOT Agreement for Noxious Weed Control.

   7. Consider the approval of the Final Plat Application #0801-819 for Manes Estates Subdivision located near the intersection of Oregon Road and Cloud Road on the South side of Cloud Road and West of Oregon Road.

   8. Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0710-806 to rezone approximately 5.00 acres from an A-1, Agricultural District, to an R-E, Residential Estate District, located on the East side of Colorado Road between Stafford Road and Shawnee Road.

   9. Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0802-822 to rezone approximately 15.00 acres from an A-1, Agricultural District, to an R-E, Residential Estate District, located near the intersection of Indiana Terrace and Labette Road on the South side of Labette Road and the East side of Indiana Terrace.

   10. Consider the approval of payment request #28 for the Elizabeth Layton Center CDBG Grant Project.
