D.    INVOCATION:  Led by Reverend Leonard Cheasbro with New Life in Christ Church.

E.     CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

F.     PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

G.    CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

1.      Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of June 25th and 30th, 2008.

2.      Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

3.      Consider the approval of payroll for the pay period beginning May 21st and ending June 20th.

  1. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

1.      Consider the approval of a recommendation to adjust the county mileage reimbursement to 0.505 cents per mile to match the rate of the State of Kansas

2.      9:00 - Hold a Public Hearing to discuss vacating a portion Tenth Street in the Centropolis Township.

3.      Consider the approval of a request to award bids for the 13 Mile Project for the Public Works Department.

4.      Consider the approval of a the SFY2009 Local Environmental Protection Program (LEPP) Grant Application.

5.      Consider approval of a one year contract appointing Lisa Johnson to County Administrator/County Counselor position.
