  4. INVOCATION:  Led by Reverend Jim Wiese with Faith Lutheran Church of Ottawa.

  5. CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of July 2nd and 7th, 2008.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of write offs for the EMS Department for the month of June in the amount $40,125.63.

    2. Consider the approval of a Resolution vacating Tenth Street between Centropolis Avenue and north line of Block 53 and vacating the alleys in Block 52 and 53 in Centropolis.

    3. Consider the approval of an amendment to the Franklin County Zoning Regulations regarding Wind Energy Conservation Systems.

    4. Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0805-848 to rezone approximately 5.45 acres from an R-E, Residential Estate District, to a C-2, Highway Commercial District, and a Special Use Permit for an oilfield equipment sales, repair and service storage facility, located on the south side of Riley Road between Virginia Road and Wyoming Road.

    5. Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0805-853 to rezone approximately 6.39 acres from an A-1, Agricultural District, to an R-E, Residential Estate District, located on the north side of Labette Road, east of Florida Road.

    6. Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0805-857 to rezone approximately 4.91 acres from an A-1, Agricultural District, to an R-E, Residential Estate District, located at the intersection of Finney Road and Tennessee Road, on the west side of Tennessee Road and on the south side of Finney Road.
