  4. INVOCATION:  Led by Reverend Jim Wiese with Faith Lutheran Church of Ottawa.

  5. CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the County Commission meeting of July 23rd and 28th, 2008.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

    3. Consider the approval of payroll for the pay period beginning June 21st and ending July 20th.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of a contract between Franklin County and the City of Ottawa for the resurfacing of Elm Street.

    2. Consider the approval of a recommendation to donate the safe from the Treasurer's Office to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.

    3. Receive and discuss the 2008 2nd Quarter Report for the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center.

    4. Consider awarding a bid for a new ambulance for the Franklin County EMS Department.

    5. Consider the approval of the Kansas Department of Corrections (KDOC) Revised FY2009 Comprehensive Plan and Budget for the 4th Judicial District Community Corrections.

    6. Consider the approval of the Kansas Department of Corrections FY2008 SB14 Year End Outcome Report for the 4th Judicial District Community Corrections.

    7. Consider the approval of a request to solicit bids for tires for the Franklin County Public Works Department.

    8. Consider the approval of a Resolution to install a stop sign on northbound Louisiana Terrace at Woodson Road.

    9. Consider the approval of a Resolution accepting the improvements in the plat of Maple Lane, releasing the standby letter of credit, and accepting the letter of credit for a two year maintenance period.

    10. Consider the approval of a request to accept a modified Letter of Credit and approve the revised Subdivision Improvement Agreement for the Walnut Creek Acres Seventh Plat.

    11. Consider the approval of Application #0709-793 for the Final Plat for Madl Estates Subdivision located near the intersection of Woodson Road an Ohio Road on the east side of Ohio Road south of Woodson Road.

    12. Consider the approval of Application #0803-828 for the Final Plat for McNeil Estates Subdivision located on the west side of Florida Road between Kingman Road and Rock Creek Road.
