  5. CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

    1. Consider appointing an applicant to the vacant Pottawatomie Township Clerk position.

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the Franklin County Commission meeting of February 11, 2009.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of a contract between Franklin County and Williams-Stackhouse, Inc. for digital orthographic aerial photography.

    2. Consider the approval of a recommendation from Sheriff Craig Davis to accept patrol vehicle bids as submitted for the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

    3. Consider the approval of an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) for repairs to Reno Road damaged during the new 59 Highway road construction.

    4. Consider the approval of a request to award bids as submitted for tires for the Franklin County Public Works Department.

    5. Consider the approval of a request from the Public Works Department to waive the purchasing policy and approve a proposal from Killough Construction, Inc. for the floor of the newly constructed Salt Storage Shed.
