  4. INVOCATION: Led by Reverend Fred Martin with Ottawa Bible Church.

  5. CORRESPONDENCE & ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS

  6. PUBLIC COMMENT:  A citizen desiring to speak on an item not on the agenda may do so at this time.  Discussion is limited to five minutes and the Commission will not take action or discuss items at this time.  Items introduced under “Public Comment” may become agenda items at a later date.

  7. CONSENT AGENDA:  Items listed on the “Consent Agenda” are considered routine and shall be enacted by one motion of the Board of Commissioners with no separate discussion.  If separate discussion is desired by a member of the Governing Body, that item may be removed from the “Consent Agenda” and placed on the regular agenda “Items of Business.”

    1. Consider the approval of the minutes of the Franklin County Commission meetings of February 18 and 23, 2009.

    2. Consider the approval of claim vouchers and tax change orders.

  8. ITEMS OF BUSINESS:  Items of business includes all timed items, bids, contracts and agreements, public hearings and organizational business coming before the Governing Body.

    1. Consider the approval of a recommendation to appoint Margaret Arnett to the vacant Pottawatomie Township Clerk position.

    2. Consider the approval of a request from Midland Railroad to apply for funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for Transportation Enhancement projects through the Kansas Department of Transportation.

    3. Consider the approval of a Resolution modifying the finger print processing fee for Franklin County.

    4. Consider the approval of a recommendation to set the 2009 Spring Clean-Up dates for the Franklin County Transfer Station

    5. Consider the approval of Change Order #1 for the Missouri Road Bridge Replacement Project.

Consider the approval of Rezoning Application #0812-901 to rezone approximately 3.00 acres from an A-1, Agricultural District, to an R-EA, Single Family Residential Three Acre District, located near the intersection of Georgia Road and Jackson Road on the west side of Georgia Road and north of Jackson Road.
