BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman John E. Taylor and Commissioners Fred E. Ferguson, Donald C. Hay, Donald R. Stottlemire and Donald E. Waymire present.   

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Taylor at 8:30.

John Dowell discussed various letters of response with the Board.

Commissioner Stottlemire moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve a lease with USD 290 for storage space at Crestview.  All voted “yes.”

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve the March 12, 2003 minutes.  All voted “yes.”

Board viewed where to place flagpoles on Courthouse lawn.  Will have Darrell contact Dodds to get that project started.

Board asked John Dowell the status of the Hill Top property.  He said there had been another extension for six months agreed upon.

At 10:00 a.m. the Board viewed a vacant lot on west 9th St that the County owns.

Board returned to chambers at 10:30.

Deb Barker and Steve Stewart, with the Historical Society, met with the Board to discuss possible cost saving measures for the Storage Facility/Records Center.

With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 11:10.
