BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman John E. Taylor and Commissioners Fred E. Ferguson, Donald C. Hay, Donald R. Stottlemire and Donald E. Waymire present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Taylor at 8:30.
Bob Thompson discussed October report for Transfer Station, Recycling and HHW. Net income after expenses for October was $55,959.02.
Commissioner Waymire left at 9:10.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Ferguson seconded to approve the minutes for November 10, 2003. All voted “yes.”
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Ferguson seconded to approve tax order 2003-17 through 2003-24. All voted “yes.”
Darrell Wadkins discussed roof repairs on the Courthouse, Jail, Juvenile Detention, Courts Building, Ambulance Department and Records Storage.
Commissioner Waymire arrived back in chambers at 10:35.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Stottlemire seconded to go into an executive session for 11 minutes at 11:04 for discussion of real estate acquisitions with Board and Blaine Finch present. All voted “yes.” Chairman Taylor opened the meeting at 11:15 and reported no action taken, no decisions made.
Ted McCurdy discussed the October monthly report for the Ambulance Department.
Commissioner Stottlemire moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve the write-offs for the month of October for the Ambulance Department in the amount of $32,775.21. All voted “yes.”
Chairman Taylor moved the meeting at 11:47 to the basement of the Jail for the monthly department head luncheon. Attending the luncheon was Bill Gray, Melanie Johnson, Don Hay, Marilyn Hay, Fred Ferguson, Don Waymire, Ed Taylor, Don Stottlemire, Ted McCurdy, Shari Perry, Randy Dick, Darrell Wadkins, Blaine Finch, Sue McCay, Steve Brown, Jason Parks, Ray DeJulio, Larry Walrod, Bob Medina, Ethel Wallace, Keith Clark, Craig Davis, Bob Thompson, Debbie Hough and Andy Gassaway.
With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 1:20.
