BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire and Commissioners Roy C. Dunn, Donald C. Hay, John E. Taylor and Donald E. Waymire present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Stottlemire at 8:30.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve the minutes for April 18, 2005. All voted “yes.”
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve tax orders 2004-191 through 2004-197. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve Proclamation 05-04 proclaim the month of April as Fair Housing Month. All voted “yes”.
Board received a letter from RMH Board requesting they appoint Janet Peters to replace Bob Redecker.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to appoint Janet Peters to the RMH Board effective July 1, 2005.
Ethel Wallace discussed yearly inspection with State and Health department no violations were found. She will be having a breakfast to recognize employees for job well done.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve Resolution 05-41 amending Resolution 05-38 and declare certain personal property owned by Franklin County as surplus property and to authorize the sale of the same on May 7, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Franklin County Public Works Shop Area. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve Resolution 05-42 authorizing foreclosure proceedings and the sale of real property for delinquent taxes. All voted “yes”.
Blaine Finch discussed contract with Franklin County Emergency Temporary Shelter Association grant award.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve the contract between Temporary Shelter Association and the Board of County Commissioners. All voted “yes”.
Blaine Finch discussed tower updates for communications 3 Special use permits have been filed with the Planning Department. They will be on the May agenda.
Blaine Finch discussed remodeling of Annex he will be going to Topeka to the State surplus to see if they have any furnishings.
Blaine Finch discussed Utah Rd benefit district up by Wellsville. Dotty Riley will be sending a letter.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to go into executive session for 20 minutes at 9:50 for non-elected personnel with Board, Becky Ortega, Blaine Finch and Craig Davis. All voted “yes”. Chairman Stottlemire opened the meeting at 10:10 and reported no action taken, do decisions made.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve payroll changes 05-45 and 05-47 through 05-51. All voted “yes”.
With no further discussion meeting was adjourned at 10:20.
