BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire and Commissioners Roy C. Dunn, Donald C. Hay, John E. Taylor and Donald E. Waymire present.  

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Stottlemire at 8:30.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve the minutes for May 2, 2005.  All voted “yes”.

 

Chairman Stottlemire read an appreciation letter from Mayor Wilhite and the Wellsville City Council thanking the County for the county’s contributions, which helped them have a successful Citywide clean up this spring.

 

Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to go into an executive session for 20 minutes at 8:40 for non-elected personnel with Board, Ron Henrickson and Blaine Finch present.  All voted “yes”.  Chairman Stottlemire opened the meeting at 9:00 and reported no action taken, no decisions made.

 

The Franklin County Extension Agents Rebecca McFarland, Darren Hibdon and Jo Ellen Arnold were in to update the 2005-2009 County/District Action Plan.

 

Weldon Harrod asked about the jailer being dismissed, he wondered if the Board had anything to do with it.  Chairman Stottlemire said this could not be discussed.

 

Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve Resolution No. 05-44 upholding certain codes of conduct and encouraging a strong response to employees who violate the county’s personnel manual and standards of conduct.  Commissioner Hay moved to table this motion till Monday at 9:00 motion died for lack of a second.  Chairman Stottlemire and Commissioners Dunn, Taylor and Waymire voted “yes”.  Commissioner Hay voted “no”.

 

With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 10:07.
