BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire and Commissioners Roy C. Dunn, Donald C. Hay, John E. Taylor and Donald E. Waymire present.  

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Stottlemire at 8:30.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve the minutes for May 9, 2005.  All voted “yes.”

 

Blaine Finch discussed court decision and he will be preparing the journal entry.

 

Ron Henrickson discussed a welcome letter he is sending out to all employees.

 

Keith Clark discussed a contract between Community Corrections and Franklin County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit for Surveillance Services.

 

Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve a contract between Community Corrections and Franklin County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit for surveillance services for the Fourth District.  All voted “yes.”

 

Recessed at 9:15 until 9:30.

 

No public comment, recessed at 9:35 until 11:30.

 

Chairman Stottlemire opened the meeting at 11:30. 

 

Ted McCurdy discussed April Ambulance Department report.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to write off $49,737.61 in the Ambulance Department for the month of April.  All voted “yes.”  Commissioner Dunn absent.

 

Ted McCurdy discussed that eight Paramedics would like to attend a PALS (pediatric advance life support) class at a cost of $100 each.

 

Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve PALS training for eight paramedics.  All voted “yes.”  Commissioner Dunn absent.

 

Ted McCurdy announced that he intends to retire as the Ambulance Department Director July 1, 2005.

 

Chairman Stottlemire moved the meeting at 11:50 to the basement of the Jail for the monthly department head luncheon.  Attending the luncheon was Ron Henrickson, Don Waymire, Don Stottlemire, Ed Taylor, Don Hay, Barbara Conus, Ted McCurdy, Dale Watts, Craig Davis, Shari Perry, Darrell Wadkins, Becky Ortega, Jim Haag, Larry Walrod, Blaine Finch, Alan Radcliffe, Ethel Wallace, Rick Sawin, Keith Clark, Heather Jones, Steve Brown, Debbie Hough, Sue McCay and Jason Parks.

 

With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 12:43.
