BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire and Commissioners Roy C. Dunn, Donald C. Hay, John E. Taylor and Donald E. Waymire present.  

 

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Stottlemire at 8:30.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve the minutes for May 18, 2005.  Chairman Stottlemire and Commissioners Dunn, Hay and Waymire voted “yes.”  Commissioner Taylor abstained.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve the use of the Veterans Memorial site on the Courthouse square on Saturday July 9th for a ceremony to honor the men and women that will be leaving for Iraq from our home town National Guard Unit.  All voted “yes.”

 

Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve adding a reporting module to the firewall in the amount of $795.  All voted “yes.”

 

Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve the purchase of consumables for the IT department to Insight, the low bidder in the amount of $5,080.39.  All voted “yes.”

 

Diane Drake discussed the mental health services that the Franklin County Mental Health provides to inmates of the Jail. This service is being provided and funded currently through a Bryne Grant. 

 

Jim Haag discussed two service and repurchase agreements with Martin Tractor.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve two service and repurchase agreements with Martin Tractor on the recent purchase of two motor graders.  All voted “yes.”

 

Jim Haag discussed a request from Central Heights to install pedestrian crossing signals on county right of way on Ellis Rd.  Jim stated this is at no cost to the county.

 

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to allow Central Heights to install pedestrian crossing signals on Ellis Rd in the county right of way.  All voted “yes.”

 

With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 9:57.
