BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
The Board of Commissioners met in a regular session with Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire and Commissioners Roy C. Dunn, Donald C. Hay and John E. Taylor present. Commissioner Donald E. Waymire absent.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Stottlemire at 8:30.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve the minutes for May 25, 2005. All voted “yes.”
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve tax orders 2004-215 through 2004-218. All voted “yes.”
Ron Hendrickson discussed a proposal for services for budget preparation from Lowenthal, Singleton, Webb & Wilson.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve an agreement with Lowenthal, Singleton, Webb & Wilson for budget preparation in an amount not to exceed $3,000. All voted “yes.”
Sue McCay discussed a tour she took of the Underground Vaults & Storage Facility in Hutchinson.
Recessed at 9:03 until 9:30.
Carroll Droddy asked the Board if they had looked over the proposal for the additional 13 miles of hard surface roadway on Montana Rd & Shawnee Rd. from Sand Creek to Ohio, Montana Rd & Stafford Rd. from Shawnee Rd to K-59 and Oregon Rd & Marshall Rd. from Rock Creek to Nevada Terr. Mr. Droddy asked the Board to do what the CHIP Committee recommended and cut the roads the Board added that do not have the traffic counts that Montana Rd has.
Recessed at 9:45 until 10:30.
Ron Hendrickson discussed extending the bid deadline for the 2004 CHIP Project surfacing. Mr. Henrickson said there was a misunderstanding of when bids were to be submitted by and that an addendum needed to be added to the project.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to extend the bid deadline for the 2004 CHIP Project until June 13th at 9:00 at which time they will be opened. All voted “yes.”
With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 11:12.
