BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire called the meeting to order at 8:30 and asked all in attendance to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire present, Commissioner John E. Taylor present, Commissioner Donald C. Hay present, Commissioner Roy C. Dunn present and Commissioner Donald E. Waymire present.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve the minutes as amended for July 27, 2005. All voted “yes.”
Don Higdon with Council on Aging in and discussed updates on aging services.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve consent agenda 8.1. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve Resolution #05-73 to rezone approximately ˝ acre from a R-3A to an A-1 located on the east side of Texas Rd between Thomas Rd and Stafford Rd. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve Resolution #05-74 a Special Use Permit for the construction and operation of a communication tower, located on the east side of Texas Rd. between Thomas Rd. and Stafford Rd. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to approve Resolution #05-75 a Special Use Permit for the construction and operation of communication tower, located on the south side of Hamilton Rd between Tennessee Rd. and Texas Rd. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to approve Resolution #05-76 to rezone approximately 5 acres from A-1 to a R-E located on the west side of US Highway 59 between Stafford Rd. and Shawnee Rd. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve Resolution #05-77 to rezone approximately 5 acres from an A-1 to an R-E located near the intersection of John Brown Rd. and Iowa Rd on the north side of John Brown Rd west of Iowa Rd. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Taylor seconded to continue the Special Use Permit for Brand X Garage located on the North side of K-68 Highway, West of Georgia Rd., Matter will be brought back for review on October 3, 2005. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve Resolution #05-78 amending the County Zoning Regulations to include a clarification for kennels and a new policy for towers. All voted “yes”.
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to amend the motion made on July 27, 2005 for the 2006 budget hearing at the annex. All voted “yes”.
With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 10:40.
