BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire called the meeting to order at 8:30 and asked all in attendance to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire present, Commissioner John E. Taylor present, Commissioner Donald C. Hay present, Commissioner Roy C. Dunn present and Commissioner Donald E. Waymire present.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve the minutes for August 24, 2005. All voted “yes.”
Chris Paus with Lake Region Authority which consists of Franklin, Anderson, Coffey, Linn, Osage and Miami Counties. Lake Region works for and with recycling, household hazardous waste and landfills. They have a budget and receive many grants for the region. E-waste is going to be something that will happen next year.
Chairman Stottlemire discussed group photos of the Commissioners.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to adopt the agenda with the addition of 10.1 Jim Haag – Update of 36 mile plan. All voted “yes.”
Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve the consent agenda item 8.1 approve the use of the Veterans Memorial for a POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony on September 11th at 7:00 p.m. and item 8.2 award bid for 200 flexible delineators to J & A at a cost of $2,600. All voted “yes.”
Item 10.1 Jim Haag discussed the progress of the 36 mile project.
Ron Henrickson discussed rock cost increase from Oswego Coal Co. from $4.50 per ton to $5.50 per ton.
Ron Henrickson discussed holding a public hearing for CDBG funds for the Franklin County Mental Health.
With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 9:45.
