BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire called the meeting to order at 8:30 and asked all in attendance to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Chairman Donald R. Stottlemire present, Commissioner John E. Taylor present, Commissioner Donald C. Hay present, Commissioner Roy C. Dunn present and Commissioner Donald E. Waymire present.
Weldon Harrod 336 Willow discussed bidding process for survey on 36 mile plan.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to approve the consent agenda; minutes for December 7, 2005 and tax change orders 2005-48 through 2005-50. All voted “yes.”
Jay Newton discussed bids for office furniture for the Sheriff’s Department. Jay recommended accepting the low bid.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to accept the low bid for office furniture for the Sheriff’s Department from Thompson-Crowley Furniture in the amount of $3,253.20. All voted “yes.”
Shari Perry discussed amending the 2005 County budget.
Commissioner Taylor moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to hold a public hearing on amending the 2005 budget on December 28, 2005 at 10:00 am for the purpose of hearing and answering objections of taxpayers relating to the proposed amended funds. All voted “yes.”
Larry Walrod discussed making an appointment to the Franklin County Planning Commission Board, each Commissioner rated the five applicants on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest. Results of top three were Mary “Midge” Ransom, James H. Clyde II and Bill Lister.
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to appoint Midge Ransom to the Franklin County Planning Commission. All voted “yes.”
Board discussed changing the evening meeting on December 21, 2005 to a morning meeting.
With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 8:55.
