BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Vice Chairman Roy C. Dunn called the meeting to order at 8:30 and asked all in attendance to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Chairman John E. Taylor absent, Commissioner Donald C. Hay present, Commissioner Donald R. Stottlemire, Commissioner Roy C. Dunn present and Commissioner Donald E. Waymire present.

Della Sandgren 2408 Brush Creek Dr. Lawrence discussed fair market value of property and spending.

Carrol Droddy 4069 Montana Rd. discussed the upgrade of Montana Rd.

Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Stottlemire seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: minutes for March 20, 2006.  All voted “yes.”

Jay Newton discussed space at the courts building and jail.

Open bids at 9:00 for three tractors for the Public Works Department.

KC Freightliner       $71,709.45 each

MHC Kenworth     $84,973.86 each

Doonan Peterbilt     $88,269.00 each

Commissioner Waymire moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to table the decision on bids for three tractors until Monday.  All voted “yes.”

Open bids at 9:04 for dump truck with plow and spreader for Public Works Department.

KC Freightliner       $97,493.55

Doonan Peterbilt     $110,322.00

Commissioner Stottlemire moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to table the decision on bids for a dump truck with plow and spreader until Monday.  All voted “yes.”

With no further discussion the meeting was adjourned at 9:13.
