BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chairman John E. Taylor called the meeting to order at 8:30 and asked all in attendance to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call: Chairman John E. Taylor present, Commissioner Donald C. Hay present, Commissioner Donald R. Stottlemire, Commissioner Roy C. Dunn present and Commissioner Donald E. Waymire present.
Mattie Perry 4301 Nebraska Terr discussed spending $64,000 on a commission meeting room at the Annex and moving furniture from the Courthouse to the Annex.
Della Sandgren 2408 Brush Creek Dr. Lawrence discussed values of real estate property.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Stottlemire seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: minutes for March 27, 2006 and vouchers for March 31 in the amount of $172,291.76. All voted “yes.”
Jim Haag discussed taking bids for a 5 year lease purchase agreement in the amount of $375,129.00 for three tractors and a dump truck.
Commissioner Hay moved and Commissioner Dunn seconded to approve authorizing taking bids for a 5 year lease purchase agreement in the amount of $375,129.00 for three tractors and a dump truck. All voted “yes.”
Jim Haag discussed awarding the bid for dust control magnesium chloride to Scotwood Industries for .534 per gallon.
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Waymire seconded to award the bid for dust control magnesium chloride to Scotwood Industries for .534 per gallon. All voted “yes.”
Commissioner Dunn moved and Commissioner Hay seconded to set $1.40 per foot with a minimum of 300 feet for dust control application. All voted “yes.”
Board recessed at 8:56. Board back in session at 9:10.
Board discussed road projects.
Board toured jail at 9:45.
With no further comments the meeting was adjourned at 11:30.
