BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chair Karen S Farrell called the study session to order at 8:30 a.m. All present.
Ben Craig and Harold Engelhaupt with The Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead discussed their facility in Overland Park and discussed paying the cost of removing the old safe from the Treasurer’s Office and moving it to their facility for display. Lisa Johnson discussed Franklin County retaining a reversionary interest with Deanna Rose if they no longer had a interest or use in the safe.
Debbie Hough discussed Real Vision Imaging Implementation for the Motor Vehicle Department. The estimated cost is $4,565.29 for licensing and training.
Harold Mayes discussed the 2007 audit and financial statements.
Keith Clark discussed the Kansas Department of Corrections Revised FY2009 Comprehensive Plan and Budget in the amount of $461,665.22 this is a reduction of 3.3 percent or $15,612.81 from the 2008 budget.
Keith Clark discussed the Kansas Department of Corrections FY2008 and Senate Bill 14 that requires the Fourth Judicial District Community Corrections to submit a report that outlines the progress made toward meeting the goals and objectives in the grant application.
Board discussed Criminal Needs Assessment from Treanor Architects and to start with Juvenile Detention Facility needs.
With no further discussion the study session was adjourned at 10:05.
