BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Chair John E Taylor called the study session to order at 8:30 a.m.  All present.

Lisa Johnson and Jim Haag discussed Delaware Rd between Rock Creek Rd & Kingman Terr.  The house was built in 1993 and the road was a minimum maintenance at that time.  Landowner has not made a formal request to have the road brought up to full maintenance.  County policy is that requestor pay for rock required.

Tom Job with KCAMP made a presentation on Franklin County liability insurance policy.

Alan Radcliffe discussed grant funds from the Kansas Division of Emergency Management to establish a comprehensive county resource management inventory.  This grant allows for a contractor/consultant to perform the work and the amount requested for grant funds is $15,000.

Alan Radcliffe discussed emergency exercise that will take place April 1, 2 & 3.

Lisa Johnson discussed an email from the Kansas Department of Revenue regarding vendor lists for events in Franklin County.

Shari Perry discussed filling the vacant positions on the various township boards and letters of interest that were received to fill some.

Lisa Johnson discussed 2010 budget process and schedule.

Board discussed issue of vicious dogs in the County.
