BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
Chair John E Taylor called the study session to order at 8:30 a.m. All present.
Craig Davis discussed bids for new Sheriff vehicles that were opened on January 21st. The bids were for five vehicles, but he is recommending only purchasing three, he will pay for two out of the Sheriff’s budget and one from forfeiture account. Craig recommended low bid of Shawnee Mission Ford.
Lisa Johnson discussed animal control in the unincorporated areas of Franklin County.
Lisa Johnson discussed request by Leroy Hildebrandt to replace mobile home that was destroyed by a fire.
Leroy Hildebrandt discussed replacing a mobile home that was destroyed by fire. He said this home would be rented to supplement his income as was the one that was destroyed by fire. Board asked Larry Walrod to discuss a change with the Planning Commission.
Jim Haag discussed waiving the purchasing policy and approve a proposal from Killough to place an 8 inch asphalt floor in the salt storage facility in the amount of $17,717.45.
Rick Sawin discussed 2009 Spring Clean-up at the Transfer Station. He proposed that the cities place roll offs on April 16th through April 18th and April 20th and April 21st and the public free dump at the Transfer Station would be April 24th and April 25.
