BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Chair Ed Taylor called the study session to order at 8:30 a.m.  All present.

Rodney Burns with Schlotterbeck & Burns discussed 2008 County Audit.

Rodney Burns discussed engagement letter for 2009 County Audit.

Jim Haag discussed proposal from Hi Plans to repair two rails and a post on a bridge on Tennessee Rd north of Pawnee Rd in the amount of $5,890.

Jim Haag discussed KDOT Underwater Bridge Inspections of Colorado Rd and Jackson Rd over the Marias des Cygnes River, Virginia Rd over the Pottawatomie Creek and Oregon Rd over Middle Creek.  Jim reported no repairs or remedial actions are recommended at this time.

Jim Haag discussed Terracon Consultants tests and evaluation of the backfill placed along the Acorn Box.  The tests indicate the material was correctly placed and is suitable for the support of the pavement.

Lisa Johnson discussed proposed 2010 County Operating Budget.

Jim Haag discussed Road & Bridge proposed 2010 budget and boom mower purchase.

Board discussed health insurance claims, benefits and premiums.

With no further discussion the study session was adjourned at 12:10.
