BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

 

Chair John E Taylor called the study session to order at 8:30 a.m.  Commissioner Hay absent.

 

Deb Barker discussed Franklin County Historical Society funding history.

 

Greg Gilroy discussed staff for Depot and Records Storage Facility and expenses for Historical Society.

 

Almenda Edwards discussed being a member of the Historical Society, maintenance of the museum and the large budget cut that is proposed.

 

Brad Heathman discussed cutting commission salaries to fund Historical Society, eliminate cola increases and cut health care costs.

 

Rebecca Campbell discussed ACT Ottawa Play Productions and request to use the Courtroom.

 

Marilyn Pilkey director for To Kill a Mockingbird discussed the play taking place from October 14th through October 18th and the prep schedule from August 29th through October 13th.

 

Jim Haag discussed progress on the 2007 Bridge Inspection Structural Repairs and Recommendations.

 

Board recessed at 9:09.  Back in session at 9:17.

 

Jeanne Kelly, State of Kansas Benefits Communication Manager discussed the State of Kansas Health Insurance Plan and Non-State Entities participating in the State Employees Health Plan.

 

Board discussed 911 Dispatch costs.

 

With no further discussion the study session was adjourned at 10:40.
