RESOLUTION NO. 06-027    

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING BYLAWS FOR THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION R112.1 OF THE COUNTY BUILDING CODE.

WHEREAS, Franklin County, Kansas is a county municipal government, organized pursuant to Kansas Statutes K.S.A. 19-101; and

WHEREAS, Section R112.1 of the County Building Code (2003 Edition International Residential Code) requires that the Building Code Board of Appeals to adopt rules and regulations for the conduct of their meetings, etc; and

WHEREAS, the Franklin County Building Code Board of Appeals has reviewed the bylaws for the Building Code Board of Appeals and, by a unanimous vote of those members present, approved these bylaws; and

WHEREAS, the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners has received and reviewed the recommendation of the Building Code Board of Appeals for the adoption of said bylaws.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners does hereby adopt the bylaws entitled “Bylaws of the Franklin County Building Code Board of Appeals” and such bylaws are hereby incorporated by reference as provided by K.S.A. 12-3301 et. Seq. and shall be as much of a part of this resolution as if set out fully herein.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners this 26^th day of April 2006.  This action shall become effective upon publication in the official county newspaper.
