RESOLUTION #06-074

WHEREAS, K.S.A. 65-3401 et. seq. authorizes the Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to assist counties in regulating solid and hazardous waste in the counties; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Franklin County Commissioners desire to have the Secretary assist in regulating the solid waste violations currently in the county; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF

FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS

That the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners, in conformity with the regulations of the Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, desires to enter into a contract with the Secretary wherein each will contribute to the clean up of what has been described as “Franklin County Illegal Dump #8” (Kiefer).

This resolution shall be attached to the Contract between the County and the Secretary.

This resolution shall be in full force and effect following its adoption.
