BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS

RESOLUTION NO. 07-006

WHEREAS, the Fourth Judicial District is comprised of Franklin, Anderson, Osage and Coffey Counties; and

WHEREAS, Franklin County is the County having the most population in the Fourth Judicial District; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to K.S.A. 22a-226, in the case of a multi-county district, authorizes the Board of County Commissioners of the County having the largest population to appoint the District Coroner and Deputy District Coroners; and

WHEREAS, previously, Dr. Willard B. Ransom has been named as District Coroner, and many other physicians have been named Deputy District Coroners; and

WHEREAS, many of the previously named Deputy District Coroners have retired and new physicians are currently eligible to become Deputy District Coroners; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF

FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS

That Willard B. Ransom, 1418 S. Main, Suite 5, Ottawa, Kansas is hereby appointed District Coroner for the Fourth Judicial District; and

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Kansas, that the following individuals are hereby appointed Deputy District Coroners in the Fourth Judicial District:

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Kansas, that all current county employees as well as those hired in the future, shall receive training as to their responsibilities related to the attached Code of Ethics for Franklin County government;
