A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING JUROR FEES AND MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT
WHEREAS, Franklin County is a duly organized and empowered municipal government having home rule powers under K.S.A. 19-191., and;
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 43-171 established that jurors shall be paid fees from the county general fund of not less than $10.00 nor more than $50.00 for each day of attendance to attend court and mileage for necessary travel in going to and from court;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS
That, pursuant to K.S.A. 43-171, the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Kansas, hereby determines that jurors shall be paid $40.00 per day for each day of attendance to attend court proceedings and shall be reimbursed for mileage outside the incorporated areas of Ottawa for necessary travel in going to and returning from court at the rate of $.47 per mile.
This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption by the Board of County Commissioners.
