A RESOLUTION SETTING COMPENSATION FOR ELECTION JUDGES AND CLERKS IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS
WHEREAS, Franklin County is a duly organized and empowered municipal government having home rule powers under K.S.A. 19-191., and;
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 25-2811, establishes that all election judges and clerks shall receive compensation for their services which amount shall be not less than the sum of $40.00 per day; and
WHEREFORE, all election judges and clerks in Franklin County, Kansas shall receive the sum of $6.00 per hour for services rendered but in no case shall receive less than $40.00 per day for time worked. All judges or clerks may decline to receive compensation for the work they perform and shall indicate in writing if they wish to decline payment for their services.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, KANSAS
That, pursuant to K.S.A. 25-2811, judges and clerks in Franklin County, Kansas shall receive an hourly rate of $6.00 per hour for services rendered but at no time shall receive less than $40.00 per day and shall receive compensation for their mileage at the rate of reimbursement pursuant to K.S.A. 75-3202a.
This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption by the Board of County Commissioners.
