A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A POLICY IN REGARD TO
EMPLOYEE IDENTIFICATION CARDS
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 19-101, provides that a county may exercise the powers of home rule to determine its local affairs and government authorization under the provisions of K.S.A. 19-101a; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to adopt a policy requiring all County employees to be provided a employee identification card and for all County employees to have the badge on their person or accessible to their person during employment for the County;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners believes that this promotes the safety and security of the County and all County employees and is in the best interests of the County employees and the County;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
BY
THE BOARD OF FRANKLIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
The Board hereby requires that all County employees shall be provided an employee identification card at the time of their employment; and
Further, all County employees shall have their identification card on their person or accessible to their person at all times while on duty and functioning as a County employee.
