2011 Kansas Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Local Data For Franklin County
The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the world's largest, annual population-based telephone survey system, tracking health conditions and risk behaviors in the U.S.  It is coordinated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and is conducted in every state and several territories.  Click on the link to access the survey results for Franklin County.

This report includes health data for the entire region and a plan to address two priority health issues:  Access to Dental Care and Healthy Eating.

Franklin County public health partners are working to implement the strategies identified in the plan. A list of public health committee members for some initiatives can be found here.

Franklin County is a member of the eight county public  health regions that includes Chase, Coffey, Franklin, Greenwood, Lyon, Morris, Osage, and Wabaunsee.  The 2012 CHA/CHIP was completed as a regional project with the assistance of the National Association of County and City Health Officials.  Funding was provided by the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation.
