Contact Tracing Information

Due to the inability to keep up with the volume of positive COVID-19 cases, the State of Kansas will no longer be contact tracing. KDHE has also made it clear that contact tracing is no longer expected of local Health Departments and School Districts.

Franklin County continues to see all-time high numbers of COVID-19 cases. The Franklin County Health Department strongly encourages anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 to notify any individual they made close continual contact with (15 minutes or more), within 48-hours of testing positive.

Individuals who are a close contact to a COVID-19 case should follow the Quarantine Guidelines found here: https://www.franklincoks.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1046

The Health Department would also like to encourage those who test themselves for COVID-19 by way of Home Test kits to self-report their results. Self-reporting can be done here: https://www.franklincoks.org/1018/Home-Test---Self-Reporting or by calling (785) 229-3539.

Thank you for your assistance in helping the Health Department slow the current spike of COVID-19.
