GIS resources for Franklin County are managed within the Office of the Appraiser by the GIS Coordinator Roy S. Baker. The GIS Office is located on the 2nd Floor of the Historic County Courthouse.  Roy has managed the GIS resources for the county since 1997 with over 19 years of experience. His training includes: Cartography, AutoCad Map, Rasterdesign, ArcGIS, ArcReader, and Database management. Roy has been recognized as a true professional by his peers when he was selected for the Prestigious Mapper award from the  professional KAM (Kansas Association of Mappers) for 1998, 2005, 2006, and again most recently in 2012.

Maps are available online for free or paper copies may be purchased at the front desk of the Appraiser’s Office located on the 3rd floor of the County Courthouse. The fees are as follows:

Enhancements to the LGISv5
Thompson Reuters provides a platform to access property information, maps, and Tax Records for all Real Estate located in Franklin County. A recent enhancement was made to the "Parcel Search" site migrating from LGISv4 to LGISv5. Thompson Reuters has provided instructional videos to make the site easier to navigate.
