Project Location:
This project is located on Texas Road just south of Sand Creek Road.
Project Funding:
Funding for this project comes from the KDOT Local Off-System Bridge Replacement Program ($1,000,000) and Public Works project funds that have been saved over time.
Initial Project Timeline:
- Notice was received from KDOT on August 31, 2023 that Bridge 17.6-20 was selected for funding through the 2025 Off-System Bridge Program. Read more here.
- Franklin County has hired CFS Engineers to begin the survey and preliminary engineering design for the bridge replacement project
- Survey work will occur fall 2023 and engineering design work will follow
- This project is expected to be bid in late 2024
- Construction expected to begin in the spring of 2025
