Job Duties: The duties of this position include the preparation of reports for sentencing, performance of all aspects of supervision related to adult and juvenile offenders under the jurisdiction of the district court per local policy and procedure. This position is assigned to the Franklin County Court Services Office.
Specific Requirements: Supervise general assignment caseload or other specific caseload as directed by Chief CSO; compile and maintain documentation on all contacts; utilize the Fullcourt Case Management System in all cases; verify completion of all Court ordered conditions of probation; prepare presentence investigative reports in both adult and juvenile cases; complete administrative requirements including statistics and correspondence with other agencies and the public; supervise collection of restitution and costs; comply with requirements of state mandated as well as local policies and procedures; and perform any additional duties as required by the Chief CSO or the Court.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in corrections, criminology, counseling, psychology or a closely related field.
Additional Desirable Qualifications: Working knowledge of the criminal justice field; experience in caseload management and handling multiple tasks; ability to complete work under time-sensitive deadlines; proficient use of computer programs; excellent oral and written communication skills; LSI-R certification; professional, courteous and cooperative in demeanor.
Other: All applicants are subject to a name based criminal history background check. All applicants must also have a valid Driver’s License. If employed by Court Services, the new employee will have to pass a fingerprint-based background check within the first 30 days of employment. The new employee will also be required to obtain LSI-R certification through the Court-approved process.
